Root canal treatment in Azusa
A root canal treats the inside of a tooth when the nerve there has become infected or damaged. The aim is to keep the tooth rather than take it out.
What it is for
A tooth that aches or throbs. A tooth that has become sensitive to heat, or that hurts to bite on. A tooth that has darkened. Sometimes there is no pain at all and it turns up during an examination.
What a visit involves
An examination first. Dr. Khosravibabadi will look at the tooth, tell you what he thinks is happening inside it, and set out what your options are.
What we will not tell you
We will not tell you it will be painless, and we will not tell you how long it takes before we have looked at your tooth. What we will do is explain what is happening in words that make sense, so you are deciding with the same information we have.
Questions and answers
Does a root canal hurt?
It is the first thing everyone asks, and the honest answer is that it depends on the tooth and on you. We will tell you what to expect for yours before we start, rather than promise you something we cannot know in advance.
Why not just take the tooth out?
Sometimes that is the right answer, and we will say so. Keeping a natural tooth is usually worth considering first, and which applies to your tooth is what the examination is for.
What does root canal treatment cost at Hiraya?
We do not publish a price list. Every case is different, so we will look at your tooth, explain your options, and tell you what the treatment costs before anything begins.
